Cerakote is a thin-film ceramic coating selected for firearms, suppressors, and other hard-use metal components. It offers durable protection with an enormous range of colors and carefully planned combinations.

Different jobs require different coating systems. Oven-cured finishes are suited to many firearm applications, while selected air-cure coatings are designed for high-heat components. Some Cerakote C-Series coatings are formulated to withstand temperatures up to 1,800°F.

Proper preparation makes the finish.

Coating over contamination or an improperly prepared surface is a shortcut. Components must be completely disassembled, stripped, degreased, and properly blasted before the final coating is applied.

Before your project begins.

What happens before Cerakote is applied?

The project is inspected, completely disassembled as required, stripped, degreased, abrasively blasted, masked, and staged before coating. Preparation is what gives the finish a proper foundation.

Can I choose the color?

Yes. We can discuss proven solid colors, two-tone combinations, and custom layouts based on the firearm, its intended use, and the look you want.

Is Cerakote only for firearms?

No. Cerakote can be selected for suppressors and other hard-use metal components when the coating system is appropriate for the material, operating temperature, and application.

Can Cerakote handle high temperatures?

Selected Cerakote air-cure coatings are formulated for high-heat applications. Some C-Series coatings are designed to withstand temperatures up to 1,800°F.

How long will my project take?

Turnaround depends on the condition, disassembly, finish design, and curing requirements. The schedule is discussed before work begins, and you receive honest updates if anything changes.
